This article explains how to add a payment over invoice, which currency differs from payment currency.
Let's imagine that you get a payment in EUR from a client, and this payment must be linked with jobs counted in different currencies: EUR and USD. In this case, the procedure will be following:
1. Create a payment and specify amount in EUR (actual income amount).
2. Add to details table necessary invoice (in any currency).
3. If currency of any invoice differs from the currency of payment, specify currency rates (manually or automatic)
4. Check if amount in invoice currency corresponds to desired amount.
Using these simply actions you can easily link payments with invoices no matter which currencies are used there.
When invoice-based accounting method is used (selected in the Program settings), and if payment (invoice) currency differs from your base currency, then the program will crate corresponding currency rate difference transactions. Depending on a direction of exchange rate change, additional income or expense may be registered in the Ledger.
